Casela Adventure Park

The day begins with a visit to Casela Adventure Park, one of the most famous animal and adventure parks in Mauritius and among the most visited in the Indian Ocean. The park offers an exciting experience for visitors of all ages. Standard admission includes access to activities such as a safari tour, encounters with felines, and a walk through the aviary, home to over 1,500 birds. Additional adventure activities—including quad biking, buggy rides, Segway tours, horseback riding, camel rides, zip lines, and canyoning—are available with advance booking.

Martello Tower

The tour continues to the historic Martello Tower, built during British rule to defend the island against naval attacks. Constructed with thick volcanic stone walls and a circular design, the tower was highly resistant to cannon fire. Located opposite La Preneuse Beach, the tower was restored in the late 1990s and converted into a museum. Guided visits explain its strategic importance and role in Mauritius’ colonial history.

The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation at La Preneuse Beach, a peaceful bay with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters protected by a coral reef. The beach offers stunning views of Le Morne Brabant and is especially enjoyable in the late afternoon, when the sea remains warm and the setting sun creates a spectacular atmosphere. Old cannons along the shoreline recall the island’s maritime past. Far from mass tourism, La Preneuse remains a calm and ideal place to unwind.
